Twilight 5K

16 August 2009

So the Running on Faith team finally got to meet up last night (except for No-Show Nancy). I had a great time meeting everybody and talking after the race, and of course liked that we hung out by the beer truck! My only complaint was that since I haven’t done any road running to speak of (dirt trail and gravel roads mostly) my shins were hurting pretty bad before the first mile was over. I ended up walking most of it, but like I told Christine, my goal was to finish, and I did! A very nice lady named Peggy kept pace with me and chatted, so it seemed to go by pretty quickly.

I will need to post another thank you soon, since a few more donations have trickled in through the mail this past week, so be sure to look for that!

Run on, Team!

Great job Spicey! Try to make your shorter run/walks on asphalt and the longer ones off road. That will slowly get your legs used to the pounding.

Beer truck? Was that what that was? I thought it was Gatorade.
